As I enter my 20th year as a psychoanalyst, and my 32nd year as a clinical psychologist, I find my interests and efforts turning more and more toward generativity—how to help prepare people and society for what comes next in life and the world. In 2009, I and four other psychoanalysts co-founded, Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy in Seattle (RPPS), a teaching and learning community. We shared a passion for relational thinking and a common goal to build a bigger relational community in Seattle. We succeeded in offering 10 years of classes and events to therapists, many who went on to train as analysts in NYC, CA, and Seattle.

I am now a Consulting Analyst at the Seattle Psychoanalytic Society and Institute (SPSI) and am proud to be heading the new Two-Year Certificate Program, Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy: Theory, Process, and Social Applicability. This program will bring together a wide net of analysts and psychotherapists from RPPS and SPSI and will train therapists not only in the fundamentals of theory and practice but invites them to teach us from their communities. Psychoanalysis cannot survive and thrive as a profession and discipline if it only remains the purview of the few in a private practice office setting.

I hope you will consider my expertise and passion to meet your personal and organizational needs.
